City Football Group: A Global Network of Clubs

History and Expansion

The City Football Group (CFG) is a global network of football clubs, established in 2013 by the Abu Dhabi United Group. The group's flagship club is Manchester City F.C., one of the most successful teams in English football. However, CFG also owns or has stakes in numerous other clubs around the world, forming a vast footballing ecosystem.

Club Ownership and Network

In addition to Manchester City, CFG owns or controls the following clubs:

* New York City FC (United States) * Melbourne City FC (Australia) * Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan) * Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay) * Girona FC (Spain) * Sichuan Jiuniu FC (China) * Lommel SK (Belgium) * Mumbai City FC (India) * Troyes AC (France)

Each club operates independently, but they share common ownership and a global network that allows for collaboration, player development, and marketing opportunities.
